QUALIFICATIONS:

- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.

- Holds a degree or diploma in culinary arts from a reputable culinary

school or a similar qualification.
- Has several years of experience in a professional kitchen is required,

with a strong background in Continental cuisine.
- Should have strong culinary skills and proficiency in preparing a wide

range of Continental dishes. They should be able to follow recipes

and adapt to various cooking techniques.
- Ability to contribute to menu development and bring innovative ideas

to the kitchen is valuable.
- The role can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand

for long periods, lift heavy pots and pans, and work in a hot and fast
- paced kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and food handling

standards is crucial for maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Responsible for preparing a wide range of dishes that fall under the "Continental cuisine" category.
- Collaborate with the head chef or sous chef to plan and develop the

menu for the Continental cuisine section of the restaurant.
- Prepare and cook a variety of Continental dishes, which may include

French, Italian, Spanish, and other European cuisines. This includes

appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, and desserts.
- Maintain high standards for food quality and presentation. Ensure

that dishes meet the restaurant's specifications and are served with

consistency.
- Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the Continental cuisine

section of the kitchen
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure the efficient operation

of the entire kitchen
- Monitor and manage inventory for ingredients and supplies specific

to Continental cuisine. Place orders as needed and report inventory

levels to the sous chef or head chef.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food safety and

hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness in the work area and ensure

a sanitary kitchen environment.
- Contribute to the development of new dishes and suggest menu

improvements or seasonal changes. Showcase creativity and

innovation in dish presentation and preparation.
- Manage the timing of dish preparation to ensure that dishes are

ready for service in a timely manner. Coordinate with other kitchen
