Specialty:
Background in Microbiology & Quality Management

Education Degree:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Microbiology or Lab Testing or related field to his or her specialty.

Technical knowledge:
- Understanding of Safety in Laboratory, HSE, Quality & ISO 17025- Strong computer and communication skills, including written & verbal English

**Experience**:
Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience

Primary Functions:
- Conduct tests and analysis with an acceptable degree of accuracy and quality in conformance with established methods, instructions, and quality standards under the supervision of the Assistant Laboratory Manger / senior staff- Responsible for maintenance of environmental controls (i.e. moisture, temperature, sterility etc.) in the laboratory in line with international standards and company procedures- Record test results and support the production of test reports describing procedures/methodology used and present results in an appropriate/required manner- Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and assist with the calibration of laboratory instruments in line with appropriate standards and internal procedures- Follow laboratory requirements and procedures to ensure test/analytical results are available for issue in the agreed target times- Preparation and sterilization of media for the laboratory- Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSE requirements using company policies and procedures as appropriate- Ensure that test/analytical results conform to set laboratory requirements and are available for issue in the agreed target times- Participate actively in the PTP programs and follow up on SQC’s completion to comply with internal laboratory quality systems- Assist the Laboratory Manager / senior staff to enhance capability levels in the laboratory through on job training of junior staff- Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSSE requirements using company policies and procedures as appropriate

Technical Expertise:
Have sound knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines, QHSSE; relevant instrument expertise

Business Requirements:
- Able to manage the assigned tasks in a timely manner and up to the quality standard.- Report timely the results with accuracy- Collaborate with team for monitoring, training and adequacy- Follow Management directions and guidance.- Deliver assigned tasks within time.- Strong influencing skills and the ability to persuade people to adopt good practice- Valid KSA driving license
