**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Equipment Installation and Maintenance:

- Install, assemble, and align machinery and equipment according to specifications and technical drawings.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, inspection, and adjustment of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems and components to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, and operators to develop maintenance schedules and ensure mínimal disruption to production.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, such as equipment malfunctions, mechanical failures, or
abnormal noises.
- Analyze equipment performance data, including temperature, pressure, and vibration readings, to identify root causes of problems.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as bearings, gears, belts, or pneumatic/hydraulic systems, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform alignment, calibration, and testing of machinery to ensure accurate and efficient operation.
- Document repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment modifications for future reference and tracking.
- Safety and Compliance:

- Adhere to all safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines while performing maintenance and repair tasks
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards associated with machinery and equipment operation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards, such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) or equipment-specific guidelines.
- Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Equipment Optimization and Efficiency:

- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
- Propose and implement improvements to mechanical systems, processes, and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance indicators, such as energy consumption, cycle times, or output rates, and recommend adjustments or modifications for optimal results.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in mechanical maintenance and technologies.
- Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime to support decision making and continuous improvement efforts.
