**OVERALL DUTIES**
- Providing technical leadership at the enterprise level and serving as an integral part in operations and business continuation development
- Making recommendations and present business advantages for technology initiatives and improvements
- Leading your team in identifying, comparing, selecting, and implementing technology solutions and partnerships to meet current and future needs
- Tracking and controlling the developments of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and technology operations
- Designing and leading the implementation of our strategy for technology while ensuring the implementation and enforcement of technology standards across the organization
- Advocating and communicating technology capabilities internally and externally, including leadership, utilities board, customers, partners, and vendors
- Sharing information and developing a collective understanding of programs and issues
- Structuring technology policies, procedures, and standards to ensure organizational success
- Making technology-related recommendations supported by data for policy adoption that includes analysis of current regulatory actions, technological innovations, and fiduciary considerations
- Conducting research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new processes and system alterations, as well as to analyse and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological advantage for teaching and learning.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD): Build, Deploy, unit and load testing Backend and Frontend,
- Database migration strategy unification across all products
- Disaster Recovery: Define strategy from business perspective, RPO/RTO (recovery point objective and recovery time objective)
- Cloud standards: Infrastructure as a code, Billing management and review (cost optimization), Production/non-production account policies, security review and permission boundaries, AWS organization, Cloud native design guidelines, Cloud High Availability architecture recommendations, storages optimization
- Development practices: Coding standard, toolset definition /evaluation, unified logging, unified monitoring, unified altering about abnormal behaviour (exceptions down times etc).
- Development process definition: agile, scrum, SAFe, adaptation
- Release planning process definition
- Architecture practice: Architecture design review process, new technology introduction process, legal license review process for dependencies
- Continues improvements: Define company level continues improvement strategy for Information Technology
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years’ experience including leadership role in a large heavy-traffic, high uptime production environment, demonstrating proven a track record of technology innovation, design, development, and implementation
- 5+ years Windows, & Linux Server Administration experience, including diagnosis of performance issues, package management, load estimation, networking configuration
- 5+ years network administration experience, including load balancers, proxy servers, firewalls, and VPNs
- 7+ years software engineering experience with at least two different stacks
- Professional level certification in AWS Cloud strongly required
- Configuration Management experience (Puppet, Chef)
- Hands-on experience with k8s (administration and development)
- SQL Server Administration experience
- Knowledge of directory services such as Active Directory and LDAP
- Use of remote access tools (Remote Desktop, VPN)
- Ability to work independently on large, complex projects with mínimal guidance
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytic, oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with distributed version control (GIT)
- Experience with implementation of IT Service Management methodologies (e.g. ITIL)
- Proven success delivering customer-centric tools adding value to the end uses while also anticipating internal operational needs and delivering tools that result in value-added services to the company.
- Proven success building high-performing technical teams and working with rapid growth and implementing change
- Strategic thinker and effective communicator offering expertise in technological development and the demonstrated ability to implement and execute organizationally
