Senior Welder

**Job Description**:
**Purpose**: Performs welding on product components in accordance with the welding procedures manual.

**Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)**
- Performs daily duties under mínimal supervision.
- Must be proficient and familiar in understanding welding specifications and procedures.
- Perform visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality specifications.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and solving welding problems on an individual basis whilst also supporting the team to enhance through-put within the work schedule.
- Required to pass periodic welding tests and qualifications in compliance with qualification procedures.
- Responsible for training less experienced welding team members.
- Responsible for supporting less experienced welding team members and team objectives.
- Carry job tasks safely using good working practices.
- Ensure good housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Accountabilities: (Deliverables)**
- Must have experience of welding 2” to 24” pipe in varying materials to include Carbon Steel, 316L SS, Super Duplex Stainless Steel. Alloy 625 experience would be advantageous.
- MIG welding with FLUX Core wire is a requirement.
- TIG and/or Metalcore wire experience would be advantageous.
- Experience of rolling out pipe spools and welding pipe in position.
- Plasma/Propane or Acetylene torch cutting torch experience is a requirement.
- Must have the ability to fit-up material without supervision.
- Ensure quality standards are met and inspection criteria are achieved.
- Able to work from instruction as an individual or team player.

**Education / Qualifications**:

- Shop floor background preferred.
- Secondary education qualifications.
- Successful completion of Welding courses and qualifications.

**Key Skills**:

- Knowledge of various key welding processes.
- Strong understanding of how to interpret and use blueprints/engineering schematics and welding procedures.
- Must be able to use and read welding measuring devices to include but not limited to squares, levels and tape measures.
- Set up and welding.
- Must be certified by Forum Arabia Ltd in the various welding procedures/specifications as required.

**Experience**:

- Requires 3 years plus experience in a wide variety of welding equipment and techniques employed in welding, brazing, hard facing and brushing and grinding welds
