**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**

The NDI Technician works in a highly challenging yet equally rewarding environment, playing a key role in generating aircraft for the RSAF customer. The role is therefore extremely high profile and involves interfacing with other departments and organisation such as SMSCMC, Workshops, Quality, Product Safety, MODSAP etc.

Work involves a balance between undertaking on-aircraft and component maintenance. Activities as a consequence can vary on a day to day basis.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**
- Perform on-aircraft and off-aircraft scheduled and unscheduled Non Destructive Inspection of:
**_Materials, parts and components utilising liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, ultrasonic and radiographic techniques to observe, measure and detect discontinuities, flaws and defects_**.
- Ensures work is carried out in accordance with the standards and procedures detailed within the MOE.
- Ensures strict tool control is carried out in accordance with tool control procedures.
- Carry out TCTO’s and Special inspections when directed.
- Development of assigned SNTTP trainees.
- National civilian / military equivalent and successful completion of a recognised national aircraft maintenance traineeship / apprenticeship **OR **a Higher National Diploma (HND) Level in Engineering or equivalent.
- Equipment specific training and relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) if required.
- Have at practical maintenance experience supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP).
- Have attained Specialist Level 2 NDI qualification (e.g. EN4179, ASNT, PCN)
- Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
- Broad Aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
- Be able to work in close harmony in a mixed EE/SN workforce.
- Post holder must be HF trained.
- Hold a current driving license.
