**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The purpose of this role is for controlling and managing personnel and resources pertinent to Typhoon Armament, Egress & Safety Equipment. Co-ordination of all manpower activities with respect to Scheduled and Unscheduled maintenance activities both On Aircraft and Off Aircraft to support the RSAF Typhoon Flying programme and to achieve the contracted Operational Readiness Rates in accordance with best industry practice, BAE Systems procedures, the Maintenance Organisation Exposition and the RSAF Regulatory Framework.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Managing Depth Support Armament, Egress & Safety Equipment manpower by co-ordinating with Supervisors to ensure support to aircraft generation and operational readiness is achieved.
- Managing manpower to ensure adherence to the use of approved data;
- Co-ordination of TQ and TPRF submissions;
- Monitoring and assessing tool control procedures to ensure strict adherence;
- Ensuring adherence to good husbandry practices;
- Monitor and assess all Depth Support Armament, Egress & SE personnel to ensure they are authorised and competent to work in their respective areas of responsibility
- Acts as the Point of Contact (PoC) for any SHE related issues and acts as the Depth Support SHE co-ordinator;
- Managing and co-ordinating QA or higher HQ reports including investigations;
- Support the FOD programme;
- Managing and ensuring completion of all EPDRs within the required timeframe;
- Managing and ensuring all personnel complete the mandated training within the required timeframe (CoC, RBCT, IT Security etc);
- Act as the PoC for any HR guidance (discipline, grievance etc);
- Monitoring sickness in accordance with (iaw) the Sickness Absence Policy and carrying out return to work interviews;
- Maintain register for Local Leave and Own Expense requests and process to HR Riyadh
- Manage and co-ordinate the facilities by reporting any defects;
- Welfare and discipline of all assigned PC staff under their control in conjunction with other Management and Supervisory staff.
- Undertaking the responsibilities of the Deputy Depth Manager in their absence.
- Completing any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by the line management.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**

**_Essential_**
- Must be educated to HND level or recognised equivalent or have relevant experience supported by formal, recorded workplace applied related training.
- Must have completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship in industry/military or similar qualification in aircraft systems.
- Must have extensive proven post qualification experience of military fast jet maintenance support, at Senior Supervisor/Manager level within an operational military flying environment and proven ability to manage all levels of engineering personnel_._
- High level of interpersonal skill to co-ordinate a number of activities and the ability to communicate, influence and direct decision making.
- An understanding of engineering operating procedure_s._
- The ability to act upon their own initiative within the scope of their job.
- A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail.
- A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.

**Desirable**
- Thorough understanding of company processes and procedures and industry knowledge.
- Proven Managerial experience within the aerospace industry preferably gained on Typhoon aircraft.
- Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred.
