***:The **_Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB) _**Construction Manager** shall manage construction projects as well as provide surveillance over all construction of real property regardless of the execution agent to ensure overall compliance with project specifications, schedules, site appearance, and related issues.

These functions are in support of Base Operating Support Services (BOSS) to the 378 Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW), mission partners, and tenant units, including transient, temporary duty (TDY), permanent party, and rotational personnel as well as five (5) remote Army sites at PSAB, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Read, interpret, and decipher all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.)
- Participate in design reviews and ensure that all construction is performed in accordance with the construction documents.
- Observe sites daily, document the reviews on AF Form 1477 or acceptable substitute, and file the documentation in the project folder.
- Review shop drawings and product submittals and provide recommendations through the SL.
- Ensure compliance with applicable US, DOD, USAF, and local laws, regulations, and standards.
- Prepare and submit reports of project status and progress weekly to the SM and COR
- Update project data from all active construction projects in an integrated master schedule at least weekly
- Provide effective project management to ensure constructions projects and construction work is completed to support mission requirements and applicable standards.
- Verifies measurements, construction adequacy, and work being completed IAW the plans and specifications.
- Visit construction sites daily for at least thirty (30) minutes at each construction site to provide sufficient time to note progress and any issues. Site visits shall occur at a minimum of two (2) times per week separated by at least one (1) calendar day. In addition to the site visits, CM shall attend the weekly construction meetings with the specific projects to ensure the Project Managers are informed of the most up to date information.
- Advise and/or assist construction Contractors to resolve escort and access issues, as applicable. In addition, the CM may be required to travel to areas in the local area outside of the military installation to verify design requirements and quality of work being performed.
- As required be prepared to use DOD/USAF Sustainment Management Systems (SMS) (e.g., BUILDER, PAVER, etc.) to maintain and manage Data as well as any specified local SMS’ or applicable Project Management Systems.
- Ensure all contractual performance objectives are met and contractual submittals are provided to the government.
- Work with a diverse, international, and multi-skilled workforce
- Responsible for proper utilization, accounting, and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment tools, information, and Data).
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED**:

- May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions that require wear of hard hats, gloves, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses and other personal protection equipment (PPE); may be required to push, pull and lift heavy equipment.
- Use of Land Mobile Radios, cell phones, laptop, and other devices to maintain contact and accountability of work activities.

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT**:

- Work will be indoors and outdoors.
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur.
- Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs as well as occasional to frequent travel.
- Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions.
- Task specific work environment training maybe provided.
- Must be prepared to function in a wartime or contingency environment to support U.S. interests.

**PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES**:

- Physical requirements include lifting up to 35lb, team lifting up to 50lbs, climbing, extended sitting, or standing, stooping, stretching, and bending.
