**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC). SMSCMC was created as a Saudi Arabian joint venture company co-owned by BAE Systems and local shareholders to deliver KSA industrialisation of supply chain management and thereby support Saudi Vision 2030.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**

The post holder is responsible for:

- Establishing and effective running of the Avionics Repair Service Project Control Systems so that good quality and trusted outputs are provided into the programme and CSR reporting cycles in line agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
- Reporting on performance against plans and, where necessary, identify intervening actions to resolve issues which threaten delivery to plan. Project Control output should be compliant with all relevant policies, procedures and PM functional mandates so as to minimise risk and maximise opportunities.
- Supporting the Programme Manager by interpreting and produce a range of data that shall ensure effective progress monitoring against project trends, schedule, scope and cost baseline to aid strategic decision making, issues highlighting and escalation and maintaining a high performance project environment. He/She will deputise for the Programme manger when and as required.
- Successfully delivering the programme by supporting the day today service delivery activities as assigned by LM including achieving the required business salient targets, carrying on internal and external stakeholders engagement, controlling the projects elements under his/her responsibility fulfilling LCM review requirements and supporting programme & management reviews.
- Generating the recurring mandated business review packs using high skill integration and reporting techniques to report the project performance effectively, taking on consideration the data integration across the project reviews
- Conducting post-project appraisals and ensure “lessons learned” dissemination across other business.
- Application and compliance with the BAE Operational Framework, PM functional processes, including LCM specifically Planning, Monitoring and Control; Risk and Opportunity Management, Performance Management particularly Earned Value Management (EVM) and Life Cycle Management, Bid Status and Phase and Contract Reviews.
- Establishing a project control system that enables assured generation of the AvRS CSR.
- Project Control compliance with the BAE Systems Operational Framework.
- Establishing relationships with the Customer and continuously improve reporting processes to support the delivery of both customer needs and business requirements
- Measuring internal performance to identify variance to plan and to take measures to bring performance back in line.
- Ensuring the project meets the requirements of the LCM Documents and associated Project Management Plans
- Supporting any duty or accountability required and deemed appropriate at Executive/Managerial level by the business.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**

Understanding of the BAE Systems Saudi Arabia and SMSCMC business is desirable, or an ability to develop this quickly

Expert networking and communication skills used at a senior level with customers, suppliers, partners and sub-contractors

Experience in Project management, project control and risk Management process in a relevant environment

A degree in Project Management or related discipline.

APMP Qualification or equivalent preferred.
