Ensure efficient and highly productive vessel planning with due consideration to the vessel stability and safety under load and discharge operations.
- Preparation and execution of crane split and discharge and load sequence to support, achieve and sustain productivity targets per quay crane operation.
- Understand vessel stability and safety under discharge and load criteria and whether intended discharge and load plan meets those criteria.
- Maintain ownership of the vessels under operations and assist yard equipment controller and yard planner if planning disturbances occur during vessel operation.
- Controls the execution of the vessel operation plan.
- Ensure efficient communication with the lines for all needed information from both side, including data transfers.
- Responsible for providing internal staff, vessel’s command, shipping lines and agents with information about vessel operations progress.
- Meet vessel on arrival, to provide all required documents to vessel’s command and gets loading plan approval.
- Meet vessel upon completion of operations ensuring that vessel’s command and shipping lines receive final departure plan and all related paperwork in a timely manner.
- Keeps TOS updated with all operations time and data.
- Filling and archiving of vessel planning related papers in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties which may be assigned from time to time by the management.
**Job requirements**:
**Qualifications**: a bachelor’s degree preferably in logistics, operations management, business administration, or related field.
**Experience**: 5+ years in Vessel Planning or minimum of two years of experience in each of following area as, Cargo Controller Planning Controller Yard Planner.
**Competencies and skills**:
- Must have a good understanding of container terminal operations.
- Must have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, Zodiac-OPS TOS.
- Requires knowledge of container vessel stowage and stability criteria, yard layout and operating techniques, and hazardous cargo handling.
- Experience in software system(s) on vessel and yard operation.
