Shift schedules for assignments, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment,

back-up for absent employees and shift rotations.

Train, coach, counsels & ensure motivated team
- Overall responsible for leading airfreight department.
- Supervise negotiation with suppliers / carriers for space & rates.
- Supervise all staff reporting to position as to effectively train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities.
- Improve productivity of staff through efficient work practice & monitor implementation of standard operating procedures to comply with customer requirement.
- Review Billing.
- Maintain positive relationship & promote excellent communication.
- Closure of customer complaints / dispute by leading ETS team handling customer & customer care department requirements.
- Oversee staff deployment across operating hours, weekends & holidays as required.
- Represent air freight department in meetings reference to challenges in related matters that need to be cascaded for implementation across other department.
- Review & evaluate staff Key performance Index (KPI)
- Selection & payment to suppliers align to company guidelines.
- Ensure compliance per company standards, quality improvement, security requirement & all relevant environmental, health & safety legislation.
- Review & evaluate air freight operation plan to recommend how to improve productivity, reduce costs and improve yields.
- Support sales by providing competitive pricing to customers.
- Oversee & manage dispute / claim with suppliers & customers.
- Additional functions as mandated by management.

**Education**

Diploma in aircargo or equivalent.

Must have proven previous supervisor/management exp.Verbal & written communications skills

**Experience**

Min 3 - 5 years in Air Freight supervisors’ role.

Expert in regulatory compliance related to import/export transportation, primarily airfreight (IATA), customs & other regulatory entities.

**Technical Knowledge/Skills**

Extensive knowledge of freight forwarding. regulatory compliance related to international transportation, Very good computer skills in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
