Instructor-Tornado Weapon Maintenance

Grade: 6

Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The post holder is responsible for:

- Conducting general technical courses not restricted to specific Weapon systems.
- Conducting regular assessments to ensure students are progressing academically.
- Conducting phase-end examinations to ensure training objectives have been achieved.
- Adopting and promote independent learning and a military ethos in line with the training environment.
- Counseling and motivate students, where applicable, on relevant academic and discipline issues.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

The post holder must:

- Have graduated from a Service or Civilian Technical Training Institute.
- Hold a formal Instructional Techniques qualification.
- Have recent instructing experience
- Have extensive practical experience in equipment service and Maintenance, appropriate to this field.

Desirable:

- Have an understanding of RSAFM 105-31 - Technical, Academic and Professional Training Procedures.
- Have knowledge of the RSAF Maintenance Management System. (RSAFI 4-7166-1) and the RSAF Maintenance Documentation Requirements and Procedures. (RSAFI 4-7120 Series).
