- Functions as the Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Lead under the direction of the IMSS Maintenance Manager. Responsible for technical inspections, tests, maintains, requisitions, issues, and repairs of aviation life support equipment and survival equipment, including flotation equipment, over water gear, anti-exposure suites, first aid kits, survival vests and kits, radios, aircrew body armour, restraint harnesses, flight helmets, chemical and biological protective masks, oxygen masks, and other related ALSE equipment. Train Customer and contractor personnel in the use of all applicable technical publications, tools, test equipment, and special equipment applicable to this discipline, thereby enabling them to become effective Aviation Life Support Equipment Specialists.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**- A. Duties/responsibilities:

-1. Ensures that the ALSE Technicians perform all above ALSE functions to include periodic inspections of all equipment at the required intervals specified by US Army Aviation guidelines.
-2. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted IAW safety regulations and directives.
-3. Responsible for the ALSE, On-the-Job Training (OJT), coaching, and mentoring to MNG personnel.
-4. Other tasks as directed by IMSS Maintenance Manager.
- B. Independence: Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Retain the authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.
- C. Supervisory Responsibilities: 1st and 2nd Battalion aviation life support equipment shop.

**Minimum Qualifications**- Education Level:

-Required: Associate degree or equivalent training and experience required.
-Preferred Advanced degree or equivalent.
- Training Certifications:

-Graduate of the US Army or equivalent Aviation Life Support Equipment course.
-FAA A&P certified preferred.
-Graduated from a US Army or Military equivalent aviation maintenance course.
- **Experience**:

-Eight (8) years cumulative experience in equivalent Aviation Life Support Equipment.

D. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:Graduate of a US Military aviation maintenance course or civilian equivalent.
-Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.
-Proficient in MS Office software.
-Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
-Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
-Possess a valid issued driver’s license.
-Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
