**Introduction**

Provide support in overseeing the architecture design team, monitoring design stages progress, and planning and providing direction on scope of work for projects in design stages ensuring that works are executed by the consultants as agreed in terms of quality, standards, materials, schedule and cost in order to meet requirements. Assist in the administration and management of architectural design and cross discipline coordination with stakeholder (internal and external) enhancing the design value, engineering and optioneering through different design stages ensuring that the deliverables are submitted and works are executed by the consultants as agreed in terms of quality, standards, materials, schedule and cost in order to meet requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and execute the strategic agenda of the Architecture function to deliver RSG vision and mission.
- Ensure that the architectural strategy is translated into operational business plans for the design compliance function and monitor the performance and execution of those plans in order to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company's strategy.
- Coordinate the activities of the design compliance team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
- Manage the team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals.
- Contribute to the preparation of the functional budget for the Architecture function and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
- Develop RFPs and tender documents, define metrics and ensure that all the requested details (such as drawings, specifications, and raw materials) are clear to avoid any issues or misalignments during work execution.
- Guide the consultant, monitor subsequent progress against that plan and ensure that corrective action is agreed and implemented at the appropriate level where variations from plan occur.
- Participate in meetings with project and design managers, give recommendations, discuss design issues, and generate solutions, communicate needs and recommendations.
- Conduct site inspections and record comments on issues and follow-ups, provide guidance and recommendations to ensure that work is executed in line with the approved design specifications.
- Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the Buildings & Places function and monitor the performance and execution of those plans to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company’s strategy.
- Proactively take part in the meetings held with various stakeholders (internal and external) to provide support in defining the scope of work, review the design stages presented by the consultants and provide final recommendations to kick off works, and ensure that all necessary prerequisites (such as Project Charters, Kick-off Agenda, Presentation, Project Brief, Reporting Templates, Design Management Plan, Technical Information, Design Guidelines, Project Organizational Charts and Communication Matrix) are in place before physically commencing any part of the works, as needed.
- Ensure that all the materials used, and work executed are in line with the contract requirements.
- compare planned work versus work executed, ensure that all works are delivered on time and to the required quality and report any areas of unsatisfactory performance to the consultants, making sure that appropriate corrective action is taken.
- Coordinate with the consultants and subconsultants to ensure provision of adequate resources through an efficient workforce plan aligned with the design stages and work priorities to achieve successful delivery of project.
- Identify and manage the project risks presented by the contractors and consultants, or due to the quality of materials, timely sourcing, delivery, and cost of items procured, to institute risk avoidance, risk mitigation or risk-sharing measures.
- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

**Skills Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
- PMP or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of 15 to 20 years of relevant experience
- Middle East project experience preferred but not essential
- Client side experience preferred but not essential
- Sector experience (preferred) - Resorts, High end residential, Hospitality
