Main Purpose of the Job:
Mott MacDonald is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to support the delivery of various projects in Middle East.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

- GI contract administration and preparation of specifications, interpretation and verification of ground investigation data and parameters to build up a ground model to assist in design
- Production of design solutions and drawings, covering a range of project requirements from new build to modification, maintenance, refurbishment and foundation design
- Prepare Geotechnical Interpretative Reports (GIRs)
- Working with engineers of other disciplines in order to produce integrated geotechnical assessments into the overall project delivery
- Assessing the geotechnical hazards and risks to projects and communicating appropriate solutions
- Answering technical queries and requests for information and forward to relevant designers
- Demonstrable experience in the geotechnical works related to large infrastructure, residential and commercial development projects.
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical discipline) from an accredited university; Professional Engineering Registration from any internationally recognised professional institution would be a distinct advantage
- Prior experience of working on ground improvement and deep foundations would be an advantageous
- Experience in geotechnical works on ground investigation, foundation design is a must
- Knowledge of geotechnical software packages including Holebase, Slope/W, Seep/W, Repute and Plaxis would be beneficial.
