WeDeliver is a B2B crowdsourced logistics platform that provides faster intra-cities with the Same Day delivery and 2 hours delivery. We aim to deliver E-commerce parcels as fast as delivering pizza So having a stable supply and well-onboarded captains is a key component to achieving our goals and maintaining service quality. WeDeliver raised the largest pre-seed $2.4 million round for its B2B crowdsourced delivery platform in Saudi Arabia and the third-largest for a start-up in the MENA region up-to-date.

**About the Role,**

We are searching for a driven and proactive Data Scientist ready to contribute to taking our product and research suite to the next level. You would be expected to provide in-depth research on on-chain activity, financial data, and crypto portfolios. Your work includes developing new research methodologies, creating intelligible insights for our users, as well as defining novel metrics that enrich our product offering, You will be responsible for developing and testing new trading strategies, discovering new knowledge, and creating bespoke data tools and forecasts to enable our trading and asset dispatch teams to make the correct moves in the market.

**What do we expect from you?**
- Develop and implement advanced analytics and infrastructure solutions to support power operations.
- Collaborate with traders and other stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities.
- Use data science techniques to build predictive models and other solutions that drive value for our organization.
- Develop systematic trading strategies across all of our markets.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of analytics solutions and make recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with Technology teams to design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and improve technology solutions and models.
- Collects and determines data from appropriate sources to assist in determining business needs and requirements.
- Interacts with both Data Engineers and business owners for satisfying the use-case requirements
- Follows and embraces best practices when it comes to methodologies, standards, and processes.
- Spread Design Thinking and Agile methodologies
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques.
- Build tunes and deploys predictive statistical models for extracting business insights.
- Exploit ML for developing business use-cases
- Provides thought leadership by researching best practices, conducting experiments, and collaborating with business leaders.

**Great to have**

4+ years of hands-on experience in data science or a relevant field

Exceptional programming skills in Python and its open-source data science ecosystem (pandas, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, jupyter notebooks,...)

Excellent SQL knowledge and BigQuery

Experience in data mining and munging statistical analysis, and machine learning

High motivation to dive deep into specifics while retaining a pragmatic approach

Passion for sound and reliable data

Experience working with financial and/or market-relevant data
