**Position Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Safety Program Development**:Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of safety programs, policies, and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:Stay abreast of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards relevant to the industry, ensuring compliance and adapting policies and procedures as necessary.
- **Risk Assessment and Mitigation**:Conduct thorough risk assessments of workplace environments, processes, and equipment to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- **Incident Investigation**:Lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- **Safety Training**:Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, covering topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and safety protocols.
- **Safety Inspections and Audits**:Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
- **Safety Culture Promotion**:Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization by engaging employees, fostering open communication, and recognizing and rewarding safe behaviors.
- **Emergency Preparedness**:Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, including evacuation plans, emergency contact lists, and crisis communication protocols.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**:Collect and analyze safety data, including incident reports, near misses, and safety performance metrics, to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
- **Collaboration**:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, human resources, and environmental health and safety (EHS) departments, to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of the organization's operations.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety-related role, with progressive responsibility.
- Professional certification in safety (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Occupational Health and Safety Technician) preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and safety management software. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading safety initiatives and driving cultural change within an organization.
