Responsible for planning, design development and coordination of design projects from programming phase through completion of bid documents. Provides on-site construction supervision.
**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1.Communicates with Hospital Departments at various levels to discuss and identify needs and requirements.
2.Prepares functional and spatial programs for Hospital renovation and new construction projects.
3.Prepares schematic, coloured presentations, preliminary and working drawings using computer software.
4.Edits master specifications into a project specific set of specifications.
5.Coordinates design work with all other engineering disciplines and concerned Hospital departments as needed.
6.Prepares technical specifications for Bill of Quantities and reviews bid documents.
7.Supervises on-site construction for compliance with the contract’s technical specifications.
8.Reviews, recommends modifications and approval of contractor’s submittals, shop drawings, change orders, samples and substitutions.
9.Performs progress monitoring and quality assurance reviews.
10.Prepares periodic projects status update reports.
11.Assists in resolving complex technical problems and coordinates problem resolution.
12.Coordinates with clients and contractors without supervision in presentation, proposals, field work and problem solving.
13.Participates in self and other’s education, training and development, as applicable.
14.Follows all Hospital and related policies & procedures.
**Education**:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required.
**Experience Required**:
Three (3) years of related experience with Bachelor’s Degree as a professional architect with a proven record in the design in a large scale health care facility setting and construction supervision required.
**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
- Skilled in AutoCAD, 3D VIZ Software, Microsoft Office, Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects.
- Knowledgeable of NFPA codes and international design standards.
- Bilingual Arabic/English speaking, reading, and writing.
- Non-Saudi engineers must obtain minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
- Saudi Council of Engineers license is required.
