We’re looking for a **Data Science & ML Team Lead** to manage the enterprise predictive Modelling, Data Mining, and Data Science function for the bank

**Responsibilities**:
**Strategy**
- Contributes to the development of divisional strategy and ensures translation and alignment during the development and monitoring of departmental strategy, including objectives, targets, and initiatives
- Working closely with other departments to devise their analytics strategy and assisting in executing it. E.g., Digital Banking department

**Policies, Processes & Procedures**
- Recommends improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of EBIA activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers

**Day-to-day operations**
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Modelling, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence Department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures

**Modeling & Data Science Management**
- Develop, implement, and maintain Data mining models
- Conduct statistical analysis of the Customer Insight Solution (CIS) database and insights in response to identified analytic projects
- Support all Customer Strategies and initiatives by providing insights for (Customer Intelligence - Marketing Optimization, Segmentation, Profiling, Loyalty, Retention, Profitability and Risk Management for Basel II requirements, Credit Scorecard, AML and Fraud Prevention)
- Participate in enhancing the adoption of Data mining initiatives in the Bank
- Provide guidance and consultancy on using Analytical and Data mining tools
- Deliver or participate in presentations on new products/services, ongoing process improvement efforts, and/or operational initiatives
- To manage, analyze, and summarize the information innovatively and collaborate with the CRM team, reporting team, segmentation managers, product managers, Risk, marketing and sales departments; to perform the required Data science and predictive models to provide the necessary insights.

**Transfer of Knowledge & Communication**
- Ensures the collaboration and communication with the EBIA team to automate the production and publication of business unit’s standard and approved analyses and Performance Management information (KPIs, Dashboards, Strategy Maps, etc.)
- Works closely with business units to identify business unit standard/approved analytical processes and analyses
- Collaborates with the business units to gather their Modelling & Data Science requirements, understands their business objectives, and develops a close working relationship with them
- Works with BI Advisory, Applied Practices, and BI & Reporting Teams for the Business Champions incubation program to know more about the EBIM and the BI Environment in the bank

**Change Management**
- Participates with change management in assessing the impact of introducing changes to people, processes, and systems and develops relevant communication and awareness initiatives to support the effective implementation of change
- Provide coaching to promote the adoption of insights and related tools delivered through the Customer Insight Solution (CIS) database

**Reporting**
- Help internal users to set up analytical reports and dashboards that will meet their business requirements
- Train stakeholders and other members of the team on how to effectively access and use the analytical reports

**Committees & Meetings**
- Represents the function and actively contributes in various committees/meetings (internal and external) as applicable and per authority levels to ensure relevant matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner

**People Management**
- Ensures all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans, with particular emphasis on the development of talented Saudi national staff
- Ensures and facilitates the employment, training, and development of Saudi nationals within the organization

**Safety, Quality & Environment**
- Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude

**Related Assignments**
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in statistics, computational linguistics, computer science, or related quantitative methods plus
- 8 years of data analysis and reporting experiences
- 5 years of experience in the Banking industry, including knowledge of CRM, marketing, and strategy support
- Preferably Arabic and English speaker
