IT Engineer

The opportunity:
We are hiring an experienced and skilled IT Engineer to join our established and growing team in Saudi Arabia. As an IT Engineer at Compass, a freight forwarding company, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure and providing technical support to our staff.

Your responsibilities will include:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.

Troubleshooting hardware and software issues and providing timely technical support to staff.

Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.

Monitoring system performance, ensuring uptime, and implementing necessary upgrades and patches.

Conducting regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.

Assisting in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT projects.

Maintaining inventory of hardware, software licenses, and IT assets.

Keeping up to date with the latest IT trends and technologies and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and security.

Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.

Providing training and guidance to staff on IT systems and best practices.

About you:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are preferred.

Proven experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, networks, and systems.

Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Familiarity with network protocols, security, and troubleshooting.

Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
