Supervises the operations of all Angiographic/Fluoroscopy interventional and non-interventional procedures in Radiology department. Assures that standards of quality and efficiency are maintained in accordance with the departmental policies and objectives.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Performs hands on imaging work regularly.

2. Enforces both hospital and departmental rules and regulations. Formulates and reviews internal procedures

and policies guidelines.

3. Archives of departmental statistics, paperwork, and other materials.

4. Orders section's supplies materials and aides. Makes a periodic inventory of stock.

5. Introduces and evaluates new equipment, accessories, materials and aides. Instigates and assesses new

procedural techniques.

6. Prepares and presents ongoing continuing education lectures and other materials.

7. Schedules and evaluates staff allocation, including holidays, on call holidays, etc. Counsels and disciplines

staff. Evaluates and recommends concerning prospective new employees. Develops and coordinates

orientation program for new employees.

8. Participates in staff, supervisor, departmental, and collaborative practice meetings.

9. Ensures that senior staff of the section can handle the supervisor job at any time.

10. Helps physician section head in planning for departmental equipment purchases, extensions, alterations

and/or other changes.

11. Liaises with company representatives.

12. Consults and cooperates with senior in all aspects related to angiography and fluoroscopy.

13. Review and modify section policies, procedures and protocols. Establish a continuous quality improvement

program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, SFDA and other accreditation agencies standards.

14. Ensure section compliance with the Radiation Safety Rules and Regulations of the Hospital in accordance

with KACST and K.A. CARE and other National or International regulatory bodies.

15. Ensure compliance with ALARA principle Role within the section practices.

**Education**:
Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Sciences/Technology is required.

**Experience Required**:
Grade 10:
Four (4) years of experience with Master’s Degree or six (6) years of related experience with Bachelor’s Degree; including two (2) years in senior position is required.

Grade 11:

- Four (4) years as Supervisor, Angiography/Fluoroscopy at KFSH&RC, or (Grade 10) related experience is required.
- Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
- One hundred (100) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].

**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:

- Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
- Registration in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent is required for non-Saudis.
