Job Purpose

The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining and overseeing SABIS® technologies and implementing all related procedures across the schools to ensure seamless and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring compliance with all security and infrastructure standards (including backups, firewall security, Windows updates, etc.) as per SABIS® policies, in coordination with the regional IT Team and SABIS® HQ IT Infrastructure/Security teams
- Performing administrative tasks such as training, planning, setting objectives, budgeting, and developing policies and procedures, while collaborating with the regional IT Team and SABIS® HQ
- Procuring, setting up, and configuring necessary hardware and network components (servers, cabinets, switches, workstations, thin clients, laptops, Smart Boards, tablets, Wi-Fi, and other equipment)
- Maintaining network infrastructure, data integrity, and backups
- Ensuring data center equipment, such as servers and network devices, are up-to-date with firmware and patches
- Addressing and resolving faults within the school system (Wi-Fi, network, Internet, servers, etc.)
- Implementing disaster recovery plans to maintain company functionality during crises
- Supporting students, parents, and staff in using SABIS® solutions (SABIS® E-Books, the SABIS® Digital Platform, etc.)
- Providing ongoing technical support to all school users
- Verifying security standards by conducting system audits and performing regular checks on the network and data security
- Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the Management

Ideal Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Computing, Computer Engineering, or their equivalent
- English proficiency is required, local language is preferred
- Cisco CCNA\MCITP or similar certificates are preferred
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field

- Linux experience is a plus
