**Location**:

**Role Purpose**:

- To prepare dining hall or event facility including all necessary mise en place for service, serve customers in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
- To clean agreed designated areas, in accordance with standards and procedures, perform opening and closing duties, and maintain hygiene requirements.
- To respond promptly to customer inquiries, be attentive to needs and ensure to assist when required.

**Key Accountabilities & Activities**:

- Maintains up to date accurate checklists, reports, manuals, etc. as required for daily operation.
- Ensures all buffet utensils, cutlery, plates and tableware, OSE and all necessary items are clean and polished prior to service and maintained during service.
- Sets tables ensuring that all items used are clean, in good working condition and set as per the outlined standard.
- Ensures that the dining hall and events facility is kept clean, in good condition and is ready to welcome customers.
- Ensures all side stations and buffet stations are adequately stocked with replacements (condiments, mise en place, etc.).
- Ensures all the table Mise en place on tables is set up for all event such as note pads, pencils, flip charts, are available.
- During certain events, takes orders from customers and ensures these are given to the appropriate person to execute.
- Ensures to check all live station signage is accurate and matches the food items.
- Serves food and beverages in a professional, courteous and customer friendly manner.
- Works with the bus boy/ bussers to ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and sanitized and ready for next customers, or for the next course.
- Ensures during plated or buffet events that clearance of tables is maintained during the meal.
- Refrains from using mobile devices and concentrates during operation.
- If there are any challenges or conflicts with another team member to immediately notify the supervisor and act professionally.
- If a misconduct is observed by another team member, act immediately and notify the supervisor.Reports any suspicious activities to management right away.
- Reports any lost and found items and follows the correct policy.
- Practices and maintains staff grooming and hygiene practices during and prior to operation.
- Prepares the dining hall, side stations, and all supplies for the next meal period.
- Carries out all duties as outlined by waiter or supervisor.
- Reports any defects of equipment’s to the supervisor.
- Understands the sequence of events and related details.
- Conducts opening and closing checklist (could be digitally).
- Making sure the storage facilities are well cleaned and maintained.
- Be flexible to support others in the team when required and help within other operational areas.
- Works as a team player and supports other staff.
- Executes additional responsibilities with interest and delivers in a timely manner.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:

- Have strong menu and product knowledge including main ingredients, allergens and nutritional values, and basic origin of food.
- Ensures that buffet tags for each dish are adequate and shows understanding of information displayed.
- Shows good discipline and approach.
- Practices strong customer service interacts with customer and responds to any question, inquiries, and offer assistance.
- Follows SOP sequence of service as set by the company.
- Shows good discipline and a positive attitude.
- Ensures that In-house Standard and Operational protocols related to Food Safety, Health and Safety, and F& B policies, and other company-related policies are being followed and adhered to.
- Complies with Company’s Confidentiality Policy.
- Follows hygiene standards set as per Company policy.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and within strict deadlines.
- A good knowledge of handling customer complaints.
- Self-confidence to manage tasks and responsibilities.
- Speaks, understands, reads, and writes in English.
- Customer focused and showcased positive attitude.
- Incredibly adoptable for changes.
- Positive mindset to learn and develop.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.

**Qualifications**:

- Speak, understand, read, and write in English.
- Relevant and updated qualification and certification in basic Food Safety.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in field of catering or similar environment.
- Any professional development or personal development courses would be an added advantage.
