Restaurant Supervisor

**Role Purpose**:
- To supervise and oversee the day-to-day operation of restaurant/dining facilities, and maintain high standards of service, ensure that buffet, dining set up and customer journey standards are adhered to.
- To develop and maintain a well-disciplined and trained team while displaying hands-on approach in operation and ensure all assigned activities are executed in timely manner.
- To oversee the bussers, waiters, barista, and team leaders in their day-to-day operational requirements.
- To act as a supporting role and work hand in hand with team members, reporting manager and customer with a high level of rapport and customer interaction.
**Key Accountabilities & Activities**:
- Oversees that diner operations and if required to support banqueting, catering, and events.
- Ensures all assigned activities area delivered with exceptional service, high quality, and incompliance with Food Services Standards.
- Verifies and ensures buffet set up includes accurate allergen and product labelling via digital buffet tags and live stations signages.
- Ensures that colleagues are trained and display product knowledge at each station and are aware of dietary requirements, special meals guidelines and allergen management.
- Strictly abides by the food safety policies of company and client.
- Ability to work under pressure and able to manage high stress environments.
- Ensures that all operational MEP is prepared according to the business volume, and ensures the team maintain adequate stock and area clean and always organized.
- Coordinates with restaurant manager to forecast covers, manning and proactive planning.
- Supervises service team and ensures they are performing as per expectations and duties assigned.
- Ensures the customers and/ or event organizers are satisfied and accommodate any.
- Practices and be seen to be practicing good guest relations skills.
- Develops a daily training plan, TBT (Toolbox Training) program and execute promptly.
- Ensures efficient scheduling of staff for operation, events, allocate if required additional support for other operations during off-peak times.
- Assigns teams and monitors execution of daily and deep cleaning schedules of all dining facilities and storages.
- Ensures and conducts regular checks on all operational equipment for working condition and report any breakdowns.
- Ensures all staff are fully trained on how to operate all required operational equipment and maintains cleanliness and good working condition.
- Ensures that all areas highly visible customer areas a clean and organized.
- Conducts daily staff grooming, hygiene and uniform checks and ensures staff maintain a professional appearance.Submits closing reports on daily billing and requirements.
- Ensures a timely submission of all company administrative work, checklists, reporting and similar.
- Ensures that staff are trained and continuously coach staff to perform their duties accurately, provides retraining or additional coaching/ discipline for all staff that require additional assistance.
- Action immediately and complete relevant documentation in the event of fire, theft, or other incidents.
- Ensures that safety and security of the dining facilities, both FOH and BOH is maintained.Attends meetings and training courses as required.
- Handles guest complaints and feedback professionally and reports to management as per Food Service procedures and systems in place.
- Communicates daily activities with the restaurant manager and report if any challenges.
- Makes recommendations and suggestions to improve efficiency of beverage services.
- Understands the sequence of event and related details if operating during an event.
- Ensures that colleagues conduct opening and closing checklist (could be digitally).
- Be flexible to support others in the team when required and help within other operational areas.
- Works as a team player and support other staff.
- Executes additional responsibilities with interest and deliver in a timely manner.
- Follows hygiene standards set as per Company policy.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Display quick decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and within strict deadlines.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:
- To be fully conversant with POS retail and E wallet system and operation.
- To ensure the required team members prepare accurate billing and reports related to POS.
- To help attain Company’s Vision, Mission, Values and Food Safety Policy.
- To comply with Company’s Confidentiality Policy.
- To ensure a timely submission of all company administrative work, checklists, reporting and similar.
- To participate in staff training and continuously coach staff to perform their duties accurately, provide retraining or additional coaching/ discipline for all staff that require additional assistance.
