Operator, Shovel

Responsible to Operate the Wheel Loader / Shovel for removing and Loading of Slag in the Trucks after Process of cold with Water in Hot Slag dumping Area and Planning for the slag disposal in EAF,LRF.
- Slag Handling is sole responsibility of Shovel Operator and follow the shift Foreman planning for the daily shift Jobs.
- Wheel Loader / Shovel Operator is responsible for Pushing & Leveling of Cold Slag in Main Slag Yard/Storage dumping Area.
- Shovel / Wheel Loader Operator is Responsible to manage and clean the Ladle Powder in Slag Area which drains from Ladle after finish the Heat Casting at CCM Area.
- Responsible to arrange and clean the Ladle used bricks Pit Area. Once the Refractory workers removes the bricks from Ladle and dumped it in the Ladle Pit Area after this these used bricks remove and loaded in the Truck by Wheel Loader for further dumping in used Material Area.
- Daily Check and inspect equipment condition prior operation and report if equipment breakdown to shift foreman or Inform concerned authorities for any abnormalities during the shift Operation.
- Follow Company Site Safety Observation SOP’s, Company Safety rules regulations while working in plant.
- To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
- To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
- To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.
- To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
- To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
- To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.
- To attend safety trainings planned for them.
- Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
- He is also responsible for filling of Sand in the Slag Pot for one measured level which is used as safety precautions for Slag Pot Bottom which is some time damaged due to Slag & Metal falling from furnace.
- Also responsible to support/help for other jobs/Departments, like some sort of earth leveling or some type of civil work or in case of any Emergency which needed Wheel Loader.
- Arrangement and Storage of Sand for Slag Pots.
