**Summary**:
The Healthcare Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients entering a healthcare facility. They play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office by providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and assisting patients with their healthcare needs.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and on the phone.
- Schedule appointments according to doctor availability, insurance requirements, and patient needs.
- Register patients upon arrival, collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Direct patients and visitors to appropriate locations within the facility.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely appointment flow and meeting patient needs.
- Perform basic clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.
- Maintain patient confidentiality by HIPAA regulations.
- Update and maintain patient records as needed.
- Restock office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, in a clinic or hospital
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and a passion for healthcare (a plus).
Pay: ﷼5,500.00 - ﷼6,500.00 per month
