**Substitute Teacher (English Speaking) Sporadic Work Based on Need.**

**_The American International School - Riyadh is seeking qualified substitute teachers to add to our Substitute pool. Substitute teachers must maintain availability to accept assignments to fill in when full-time teachers are absent._**

**Employment Criteria**:
**Basic Qualifications**:

- Individual has prior experience working with students
- Bachelor's Degree
interpersonal skills and interacts well with children.

**Performance Responsibilities**:

- ** Assumes Classroom Responsibilities When Teacher Is Absent**:

- Respects work hours of 8:00am - 3:30 pm
- Substitute teacher follows lesson plan consistent with teacher guidelines and school curriculum.
- Substitute teacher has prior experience working with students in a K-12 school.
- Can manage groups of students in a professional and compassionate manner
- Able to provide a positive learning experience.
- Supervises students and ensures order;
- Engages in problem solving conversations with students when conflict arises;
- Ensures that students are cleaning and tidying up before exiting;
- Follows AIS-R emergency protocol and child safeguarding practices

**Job Details**:

- ** Period of Appointment**:This position is sporadic throughout he year, based on needs and teacher absence.
- ** Pay Amount**:SR 400 per work day

**Evaluation**:

- Performance will be evaluated and assessed by the Principal and Director of Human Resources
- All substitute appointments are made at the discretion of the Director of Human Resources and Principal.
