With the budgets secured for the next 2 years and beyond, Saudi Arabia Parsons Limited (SAPL) is expanding it's world class team at Yanbu. The overall Program will witness a major acceleration in productivity over the next few years as the City looks to grow and expand as part of the Saudi 2030 Vision.

As part of this expansion SAPL is establishing a HSE Department and are looking to hire **HSE **E **NGINEERS. Parsons’ extensive experience in this field, combined with your emerging knowledge of safety policy and procedures, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance.

We need our **HSE Engineers **to be versatile with exceptional communication, analytical and leadership skills. In this role, under the general direction of the Safety Supervisor, you will ensure that the safety plan reflects corporate policy and complies with the prevailing safety requirements for the Program.

Key activities and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

- Assist the Safety Supervisor in developing, managing and implementing all Safety Procedures and Protocols.
- Inspection of construction works. Detect hazards / issues and directs corrective measures for immediate implementation.
- Initiates and conducts of accident investigations to minimize recurrence and prepares an investigation report of these records.
- Documents violations.
- Conducts audits and monitors the safety performance of all construction operations.
- Assists the Safety Supervisor in identifying and investigating elements of an accident, unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
- Record injuries, fatalities and incidence rates.

**Due to the needs of the Parsons Team at this stage we are looking for applicants who have experience in working directly with Client Organizations or within a Project Management Consultancy. Ideally you will have worked with such an organization undertaking a role which is overseeing and managing the Contractors**

All applicants are requested to send over their up to date CV which demonstrates their capabilities in relation to the above activities. As this is a **SAFETY ENGINEER **role any applicants must possess a Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline - preferably Civil or Structural Engineering.

Further criteria that an applicant must have includes:

- A minimum eight (8) years, post-graduate professional experience in the field of Health and Safety.
- An industry recognized HSE Qualification such as NEBOSH International Certificate (or similar).
- Full computer literacy, capable of working with MS Office products.
- The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
- Must be able to demonstrate experience and capability of auditing against existing Management Systems as well as standards and regulations.
- Inspects the work area, machinery, equipment and working conditions for compliance with occupational safety regulations.
- Coordinates / Communicates with contractors, RCM’s / RCE’s to rectify / resolve safety issues. Provides safety training to other engineers/inspectors.
- Ensures the availability, readiness and proper use of required accident prevention procedures, safety and fire prevention equipment, PPE and first aid supplies.
