Summary
The District Registrar is part of a small, dynamic team staffing the Finance Department. The position is primarily responsible for to maintain an update Student Accounts by creating invoices and allocating and reconciling invoice payments. The District Registrar also records entries in the Accounting Software. The team manages student accounts for all ISG schools. The District Registrar works in a close relationship with the school Registrar and Admissions team.
Position Duties
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
- Coordinate with all schools regarding student enrollment & tuition. Such as new students, returning students, withdrawals, unpaid tuition and all other related procedures.
- Centralizing and controlling the Registrar information from all sites administered in a central system.
- Preparing and implementing new procedures.
- Taking a leading role in assessment of current systems and procedures and proposing and implementing changes.
- Preparing Invoices
- Receiving and allocating Tuition Payments.
- Entering receipts and enrollment “sales” into the general ledger.
- Updating the billing system.
- Maintaining the Accounts Receivables ledger.
- Preparing reports.
- Receivable and revenue reconciliation.
- Accounts receivable collections.
- Processing refunds/overpayments.
- Preparation of student enrollments forms.
- Maintaining Petty Cash fund.
- Receipt of all other cash/check receipts (not related to tuition) and processing them through the general ledger.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or manager.
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Expert in Microsoft Office of Google Suite.
