**Job Description**:
**BASIC PURPOSE**

The position is primarily responsible to manage a team of workflow& I.T specialist and to promote Beckman Coulter’s automation concept and systems and to facilitate implementation of automation projects in Saudi Arabia.

**Geography**

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

**Expected Travel and Time Management**

50% of travel is required within KSA; some travel within the region is required

Some travel to Europe occasionally

**Product Line**

Diagnostics: Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, Centrifugation, Pre and Post Analytical systems

**NATURE AND SCOPE**

**Market development**
- Helps create and maintain a strategic market access plan for BCI Automation line of business.
- Creates awareness for the Automation solution of BCI in the marketplace.
- Promotes Automation solution for potential customers where applicable.
- Work closely with Saudi customers to create customized offerings for the labs that includes I.T integrations, effective and efficient solutions, consolidations, hub and spoke approach where needed.
- Work closely with the Sales managers to drive automation market penetration.
- Organizing kick off meetings with potential customers interested in the Total Lab Automation solution of BCI
- Data collection and management that enables preparation of optimal solution to the labs.
- Devising customized solutions to maximize TAT, workflow efficiency, and remove bottlenecks in the process.

**Implementation and Control**
- Project implementation and Control
- Handling the LIS interface/ Clinical IT and connectivity to interface BC products
- Facilitating installation of HW in coordination with the Service and biomedical departments
- Facilitates installation and testing of the software Remisol.
- Provide onsite training to key operators at the account level.
- Ensuring smoothness of Automation operation by conducting regular follow ups post implementation.

**Team Management**
- Leading, engaging and motivating the team.
- Conducting performance appraisals
- Work on associate development
- Technically supports the team where needed.
- Assist in hiring.

**KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCIES AND BEHAVIOR**

**Knowledge / Experience Required**
- B. Sc. In medical lab technology, Biomedical engineering, biochemistry, Healthcare I.T or relevant experience
- Prior experience in managing a team preferred.
- Previous experience in Lab automation project implementation or running an automated lab is a MUST.
- A demonstrate experience in laboratory automation systems and instrumentation.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, Arabic preferred
- Robust understanding of the laboratory workflow process and validation of laboratory software
- This role also requires an individual with demonstrated excellent communication skills, this is essential to work with laboratory, I.T and validation personnel and other key roles and functions in the lab.
- The individual will be expected to demonstrate an ability to solve practical problems with a logical and reasoned approach and will be expected to utilize Standard Practices and Approaches in solving these problems as far as the deployment projects allow.
- Project management skills PMP and lean six sigma experience preferred.
- Good understanding of the accreditation processes of the laboratory platform

- Ability to customize the best solution based on customer needs.
- Capable of establishing strong long-lasting relationships with laboratory managers and KDMs
