Our client in Saudi Arabia requires a Planner, Mechanical in the Mechanical Maintenance Department.

**Job Purpose**:
To create and update the mechanical maintenance plan in the assigned area of operation, with the best utilization of available resources, in order to conduct all Mechanical Maintenance activities and avoid service interruptions to customers.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organize and record maintenance activities, while using available resources to achieve maintenance targets regarding asset reliability and availability with optimum cost.
- Review new notifications and check their accuracy, visiting the site to evaluate the problems and specify the required source for resolution.
- Decide work allocation within mechanical maintenance group.
- Check the work order feedback
- Order the required and follow up with material coordinator in cases of unavailability.
- Maintain mechanical maintenance records.
- Review regularly all backlogged work orders, updating status and coordinating with Area Supervisor to minimize the backlog.
- Consult with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering appropriateness of plans.
- Maintains proper status of each work order through regular review until ready for scheduling.
- Release WO for scheduling after checking availability of resources, changing status as required.
- Meet weekly with Operations and Maintenance to coordinate and schedule work.
- Ensure that repair parts and materials are received prior to commencement of planned jobs.
- Facilitate daily meetings with Operations and Maintenance resolving any work scheduling issues.
- Reporting on previous week's schedule's i.e. "Weekly KPI"
- Create WSR notification, following up and closing.
- Ensure all compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of Mechanical Maintenance Planning activity to guarantee to employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- University degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent.

**Minimum Experience**:

- For University degree: 4-6 Years working in a Mechanical Maintenance Department within a large industrial organization.
- For Diploma: 8-10 Years experience working in a Mechanical Maintenance Department within a large industrial organization.
- 1-2 Years Mechanical Planning experience.
- Experience on Maintenance planning using SAP or other computerized business management tools.
