Operator, Roughing Roller

Ensure proper settings of guides and guide tables,
- Monitor the size of stock, coupling and spindle, cooling water supply and tend misguided billet and other deviation in the flow of operation in the roughing mill.
- Observe cleanliness on his working Area.
- See to it that guides tables, entry and exit guides are well set-up. If found un-condition, immediate replacement must be done.
- Monitor & control the stock size every hour as per set-up sheet. Hourly monitoring of roll gap must be also observed including cooling water supply, coupling, and spindles before, during or after the operation. Filled-up Production process Checklist, Stock size monitoring board.
- Maintain cleanliness on his working area such as; removal of cobbles, removal of crop shear buckets before buckets overfilled with crop ends and cobbles
- Follow Company rules and regulations i.e. safety rules and regulations, good housekeeping practices etc.
- To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
- To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
- To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.
- To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
- To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
- To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.
- To attend safety trainings planned for them.
- Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
