The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the overall execution of capital projects supporting the Industrial Gas Program in Jubail Industrial City.
- The Senior Project Engineer has the responsibility of execution and control of assigned projects with the goal of achieving on time project completion, within budget, to the satisfaction of the customer, and within acceptable levels of quality without compromising safety and reliability. The position will be responsible for the execution of multiple individual projects at any given time, starting with a Pipeline Project in Jubail Industrial City.
- **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES**
- Broad based technical expertise
- Providing leadership and direction to the Project team for the execution of their Pipeline projects.
- Key Performance Indicators on Safety, Cost, Schedule, Quality, in order to achieve business goals.
- Collaborate in developing winning strategies in conjunction with the Commercial areas, by understanding of the competitive environment, developing and growing in region development and execution capabilities, and successful working with customers, suppliers and contractors.
- Development of proposal schedules, risk management plans and construction strategies / costs for opportunities being bid.
- Ensuring that Engineering Standards, Engineering Procedures and Work Instructions are understood, followed consistently, and value improved where necessary
- Develop and update execution strategy in support of project execution plan and schedule for all phase of the project to ensure project deliverables are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure that all internal and external stakeholders have adequate opportunity to provide input, comments, endorsements and approvals.
- Minimize risks through early identification, planning, and selection of best possible contracting strategies and proactive Project Management practices which focus on prevention of problems.
- Monitor the progressive cost of the project against approved budgets. Identify potential problems with same and make mitigating recommendations.
- Control change to Project Deliverables during the life of the project
- Ability to articulate the definition of project scope, milestones, goals, and deliverables.
- plan and scheduled project timelines (activities, tasks, dependencies, and resource allocation)
- Manage technical projects, utilizing established project tools and methodologies.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and associated project documents.
- Manage and monitor project budget and procurement requirements.
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools, manage, mitigate and report project risks and issues to Project Management team.
- Facilitate efficient communication across all levels of a project to ensure consistency in reaching the project's goal, and to help in the recognition of any potential opportunities, risks, or complications.
- Coordinate with contracting, procurement, external parties, agencies, and departments to ensure successful project rollout, communications and adoption.
- Managing the following tasks: multi-functional team coordination, benefit/cost analysis, vendors’ evaluation & selection, schedule and budget oversight, management of consultants/contractors, issue resolution, reporting and closeout of project upon completion.
- Monitor construction site activities with close coordination with construction site team, including proper planning of quality inspections, resolution of technical queries in a timely manner,
- Ensures all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, while managing complex budgets.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Equivalent

COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 15 years’ work experience
- PMP certification
- Experience in Pipeline engineering, pipeline specifications ,installation (permitting, right of way, construction)
- Experience with Royal Commission standards & requirements
- Experience with Saudi Aramco standards and requirements
- High degree of knowledge/understanding of Global Engineering and Manufacturing work practices. (Engineering, Design, Fabrication, Construction).
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
