Manicurist/nail Technician

**Nail Technician Responsibilities**:
A nail technician is a person skilled in the art of decorating nails with colored varnish, transfers, gems or glitter to style and shape a person’s nails. She is also responsible for painting designs onto nails by hand using an airbrush, a stencil or stamping.

The nail technician’s role also involves promoting the spa’s retail offerings by recommending nail care products to clients and engaging in activities that will foster repeat patronage.

She will also perform customer service functions like welcoming all clients upon arrival at the spa, answering all inquiries, creating rapport with clients to build a client list. Nail technician will be responsible for delivering the ultimate beauty experience to every guest, at all times, by providing nail-care services that exceed client expectations.
- Deliver high-quality manicures, pedicures, and other nail treatments
- Listen to your clients’ wishes and make recommendations to help them reach their nail goals
- Support and promote the image, service and standards of the Spa.
- Keep all of your equipment sanitized and in proper working order
- Understands all professional nail products and their usage.
- Exfoliating and removing rough skin from the hands and feet
- Recommend colors, rhinestones and designs based on each customer’s style
- Remove previously applied polish
- Provide relaxing hand and foot massages
- Prepare and clean beauty station in-between appointments
- Inform clients about additional services and offers (e.g. loyalty discounts, eyebrow waxing)
- Offer nail care treatment tips (e.g. how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer)
- Up-sell treatments and beauty products, when appropriate
- Take an interest in customers (e.g. chatting with them during appointments and remembering their preferences)
- Punctual and consistent attendance and performance of job duties.

**Nail Technician Requirements / Skills / Qualifications**
- High school diploma
- Certification in Cosmetology or Nail Art (Nail Technician License)
- Proven work experience as a Nail Technician, Manicurist or similar role
- Expertise in basic and advanced nail techniques, including french manicures, airbrushing and gel manicures
- Knowledge of cosmetology trends
- Understanding of sanitation and sterilization standards
- Exceptional customer service.
- Expertise in a variety of nail services.
- Presents a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
- Skill in managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to communicate with guests and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Strong work ethic with respect to punctuality, organization, and attention to detail.

**Salary**: ﷼2,000.00 - ﷼2,500.00 per month
