**Position Overview**:
The Aluminium CNC Operator is responsible for operating computer-controlled machines to cut, shape, and finish aluminium components. This role requires precision, technical skills, and an understanding of CNC programming and machining processes.

**Responsibilities**:
**Machine Setup**:

- Set up and calibrate CNC machines according to job specifications and engineering drawings.
- Install and configure tools and fixtures on the machines.

**CNC Operation**:

- Operate CNC machining centers, lathes, and other equipment to produce aluminum parts.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure correct speeds, feeds, and cutting depths.

**Quality Control**:

- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed based on inspection results.

**Programming**:

- Read and interpret G-code and M-code to understand program instructions for various operations.
- Modify existing CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy when necessary.

**Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to management.

**Safety Compliance**:

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

**Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and inspections.
- Document any discrepancies or issues that arise during machining processes.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with engineers, production managers, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on project specifications.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC operator, particularly with aluminum machining.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics.
