Responsiblefor provision of medical care in the field of Pediatric Allergy Immunology, inaccordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and thehospital’s policies and procedures.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
Clinical Responsibilities

1. Participates in theduties necessary for the efficient handling and reporting of all examinations.

2. Establishes andmaintains diagnostic services in assigned Pediatric Allergy Immunology incoordination with Section Head.

3. Communicates withclinicians and participates in their rounds and conferences.

4. Assists the patient’sprimary physician regarding test utilization and interpretation.

5. Ensures high levels ofemployee and patient safety.

6. Verifies all qualitycontrol and proficiency testing and prepare for laboratory inspection.

7. Monitors performancestandards including quality assurance, quality control and troubleshooting.

8. Provides optimalsupport of patient care.

Academic Responsibilities

1. Directs and advicesjunior physicians on patient management, especially in the area of Pediatric.

2. Guides and activelyassists in the training and teaching of Fellows and Residents in area ofPediatric.

3. Keeps abreast with allthe latest techniques and developments, especially in area of Pediatric,following and implementing them on a selective basis to improve technicalstandards.

4. Actively participatesin the educational activities and training programs of the department.

5. Participates innational and international medical conferences.

Research Responsibilities

1. Participates inclinical or basic and educational research projects in area of Pediatric inorder to advance knowledge, improve the quality of post graduate education andcontribute to the national and international recognition of Hospital’s.

**Education**:
Graduationfrom an accredited medical school acceptable by organization.

**Experience Required**:
Five (5) years of training in specialty and subspecialty plus post-training experience required.
