Veterinary Assistant

The Animal Handler specializing in dogs is responsible for the care and well-being of dogs, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for them. This role involves feeding dogs, providing basic healthcare, and interacting with them to enhance their well-being. The handler collaborates with veterinarians and other staff to meet the various needs of the dogs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Feed dogs according to scheduled times and their nutritional needs.
- Clean and sanitize the dogs' living areas to ensure a healthy environment.
- Monitor the health status of dogs and recognize any signs of illness or distress.
- Provide basic grooming services such as bathing, trimming, and brushing.
- Organize and provide recreational activities for dogs to enhance their physical and mental well-being.
- Communicate with dog owners and provide advice on care and training.
- Collaborate with veterinarians for routine check-ups and vaccinations.
- Train dogs in basic commands and desired behaviors.
- Handle dogs safely and effectively, especially in situations of stress or fear.
- Provide support in emergency situations, such as injuries or sudden illnesses.
