**ROLE PURPOS**:
Project management to coordinate environmental engineers to ensure all project activities, with client interactions, regulatory requirements, data collection, equipment mobilization occur in a safe and timely, cost-effective manner.

Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders for project as per the communication plan.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
**Project Planning**:

- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
- Coordinate site assessments and environmental impact assessments to identify potential issues and risks, ensuring they are conducted safely.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, considering resource allocation and regulatory compliance.

**Design and Engineering**:

- Create detailed engineering designs and specifications for environmental systems, such as water treatment facilities, air pollution control systems, waste management solutions, and sustainable infrastructure.
- Ensure designs adhere to relevant environmental standards and regulations.

**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Stay up to date with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals for project implementation.
- Work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure projects comply with environmental laws and regulations.

**Project Implementation**:

- Manage project execution, including coordinating contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning of environmental systems.
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety during project implementation.

**Environmental Impact Mitigation**:

- Develop strategies to minimize the environmental impact of construction and operational activities.
- Implement measures to protect natural resources, biodiversity, and ecosystems during and after project completion.

**Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Collect and analyse environmental data, such as air and water quality measurements, to assess project effectiveness and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing project progress, findings, and recommendations for stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

**Sustainability and Innovation**:

- Integrate sustainable practices and innovative technologies into project designs to enhance environmental performance and resource conservation.
- Identify opportunities for renewable energy integration, waste reduction, and carbon footprint reduction.

**Risk Assessment and Management**:

- Identify potential environmental risks associated with project activities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure contingency plans are in place to address unforeseen challenges that may arise during project implementation.

**Client Communication**:

- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and manage expectations.

**Health and Safety and First Aid**
- Ensure all field activities are conducted in a safe manner and intervene to ensure that unsafe actions are corrected or stopped/reported,

MY PROFILE

**Qualifications**:
Bachelors/master’s degree in environmental science.

Professional project management qualifications beneficial.

**Affiliations**:
Recognized engineering, environmental or sustainability related accreditation desired but not essential e.g. LEED or CEnv, CEng

**Years of Experience/ Sector**

10-15 years within environmental consultancy or engineering or construction industry, with experience implementing project management.

**Job-Specific Skills**:
