**ELT Instructor**

English Language Training (ELT) Instructors organize and support English Language Training in geographically distributed areas, schedule courses, manage student flow, oversee daily classroom activities, instruct required ELT Programs of Instruction (POI), compile necessary reports, maintain student records, acts as the supply custodian, and assists the ELT Program Manager. This opportunity is available contingent upon contract award.

Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

**Job Functions and Responsibilities**:

- Instruct English as a Second Language (ESL)/English as a Foreign Language (EFL) adults from basic elementary to advance English levels.
- Plan, prepare, and coordinate instructional activities for adult students.
- Create and manage student assessment techniques and objectives to include test and measurement principles.
- Assist in the development and improvement of curriculum design, training materials, instructional delivery, and student administration.
- Prepare lesson plans by selecting and adapting instructor texts and guides; develop a plan of instruction for class-specific exercises as needed.
- Conduct General English and Specialized English classes. General English classes shall utilize the American Language Course (ALC) to facilitate successful accomplishment of IMS entry into technical/professional training; maintain the MNG developed 12-233k specialized Program of Instruction (POI) for Aviation English for Pilots and 12-week specialized program for Maintenance Technicians.
- Provide IMSs with a total English language training (ELT) immersion in the classroom.
- Maintain a comprehensive electronic IMS file that documents IMS performance.
- Evaluate, advise, and assist IMSs by assigning and correcting homework, diagnosing academic problems, planning and providing remedial training classes, and counseling IMSs on their academic progress.
- Observe and obey all established safety procedures and protocols.
- Participate in professional development activities, meetings, training, exercises and drills as directed.
- Actively participate in the performance development process
- Observe and comply with all company personnel/administrative processes.
- Other program duties as assigned.

**Minimum Requirements and Education**
- Four (4) year degree that includes or is supplemented by a major study in English as a Second Language (ESL), English as a Foreign Language (EFL), Linguistics Foreign Languages, or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). The four (4) year degree must be conferred by an institution accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- One (1) year specialized experience in English language instruction. Specialized experience includes: providing instruction to a diverse student body using the principles, practices, and techniques of English as a Second Language (ESL) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL).
- Complete Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC)’s Familiarization with the American Language Course (ALC) or Observer Professional Training.
- Foreign education: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements, by providing persuasive evidence that education credentials are equivalent to those gained in a conventional U.S. education program.
- Be able to communicate with and instruct IMSs in English language articulations, fluency, and pitch/quality of sound that will communicate course requirements, objectives, theory, and content.
- High degree of competency with Microsoft Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Superb interpersonal skills, with proven ability to exercise cultural sensitivity and respect
- Willingness to work and live in Saudi Arabia
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card via the National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) process, Secret clearance preferred.
- Must possess a US Passport with at least 6 months of remaining eligibility
- Must be able to obtain a Saudi Arabian Visa
- U.S. citizenwho is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
- May be required to work in the area of flight operations requiring flexible shifts when required.
