- Promote safety and environmental awareness within the company.
- Ensure that the company complies with its statutory requirements.
- Review and develop all aspects of the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and activities to ensure that it is implemented consistently across the company.
- Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and ensure that ARA has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance and ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
- Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and implement such changes where relevant.
- Conduct all risk assessments as required by legislation to be reviewed at relevant intervals and maintain records of the same.
- Implement practical and effective preventative and remedial methods of promoting health, safety and safe working practices in the workplace.
- Providing safety and environmental advice to top management and proposing corrective actions on safety and environmental related issues as needed.
- Establish policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace.
- Ensure that the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Environmental Health and Safety Field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 4 years in a managerial level.
