- Possesses general knowledge and experience in Airfield Management tasks specific in both a training and operational environment. Executes daily airfield management tasks in support of all operations of Rotary Wing Operations. Supports airfield operations and support activities to ensure safe and effective training and operations.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
- A. Duties/Responsibilities:

- 1. Performs the duties of the Airfield manager in his stead.

2. Inspection of airfield for compliance with applicable directives, areas requiring repair or maintenance, and potential situations or problems affecting safe flight operations.

3. Devise, Review, interprets and enforce policies, instruction and directives pertaining to airfield operations.

4. Responsible for assisting the Airfield Manager in the execution of airfield flight operations tasks and execution of all functions, activities, and flight operations procedures in support of rotary wing operations. Responsible for supporting the safe operation, employment, maintenance, and flight procedures of rotary wing aircraft. The ability to accomplish the following:
5. Performs the duties of the Airfield manager in his stead.

6. Flight line Driving Program Manager (FDPM) Formulate and implement procedures for control of vehicles and pedestrians on the airfield, aircraft parking, and proper positioning of aircraft with hazardous cargo and “hot” armament.

7. Coordinates with aircrews, air traffic control, and various base agencies that provide for safe operation of aircraft in the airfield environment.

8. Brief aircrews on local training and departure flight planning procedures.

9. Compiles, prepares, and distributes correspondence, such as aviation operations reports, aviation safety reports and flight schedules.

10. Procures, maintains, and produces information for safe airfield operations. Information includes flight plans, Flight Information Publications, aeronautical charts and maps, Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), local airfield and navigational aid status, and weather information.

11. Monitor and operate various communications systems used for communication to coordinate with aircraft flight crews, emergency response crews, refuel, security forces, and air traffic control service providers.

12. Respond to and manage airfield aircraft emergency and accidents/incidents, and downed aircraft recovery mission

B. Independence: Reports to the Airfield manager. Works within the rules and regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) guidelines. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

C. Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned by the Airfield manager.**Minimum Qualifications**
- A. Education Level: Required: High School Graduate. Associates degree preferred.
- B. B. Experience: 4 years general experience in Airfield operations.

C. Specific knowledge, skills, ability: Must possess an understanding of Airfield Operations specific to rotary wing aircraft. Demonstrated performance in Airfield Operations activities from previous job positions. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written in English and Arabic. Ability to deal effectively with people in the supervision of personnel. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possess a valid driver’s license.
