Ornua is currently recruiting for a Government Relation Officer to join our team, based in our Saudi Arabia offices, As a Government Relations Officer, you will play a vital role in fostering strong relationships between our organization and key stakeholders in the government.

**Why This Role Is Valuable**:
As a Government Relations Officer, you will be responsible for playing a vital role in fostering strong relationships between our organization and key stakeholders in the government. Your responsibilities will include engaging with government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to advocate for our interests and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. By staying abreast of policy changes and industry developments, you will provide strategic insights to our leadership team, helping to navigate complex regulatory environments and seize opportunities for growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and policies affecting the industry Advise stakeholders on compliance requirements and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Act as a primary point of contact between the organization and government agencies. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key government officials, departments, and relevant stakeholders. Monitor proposed legislation and government initiatives that may impact the organisation. Address and resolve issues that may arise between the organization and government authorities. Mitigate potential regulatory challenges and work towards amicable resolutions. Prepare and submit necessary documentation, reports, and filings to government agencies. Maintain accurate records of interactions and communications with government officials. Assist in the development of public affairs strategies and communication plans. Coordinate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding

**What You Bring To The Role**:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations). In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian laws, regulations, and government structures. Established knowledge of government online portals. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong formal Arabic writing skills. Ability to visit government establishments in person when required. Previous experience in government relations or a related field is preferred. Eye for details
