Are you the new Procurement Specialist team player we are looking for?

We at Valmet are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this role you will ensure all materials are procured and delivered to the factory in line with the operational strategy effectively and ensure positive impact on Cost Savings, ITO, and Service Levels. Supporting quotation process with Sales & Global Project Teams. You represent the interest of the Manufacturing facility at the Supplier.

You will take care of all procurement activities of Saudi Plant based on Dammam 2nd Industrial City gathering details of the specifications from Sales & ERP on weekly basis & coordinate with the planning/order management team for the most effectiveness and maintain appropriate records aligned with Valmet policies.

Additionally, your activities include:

- Comply with Valmet safety standards & ensure the safety of the team working around.
- Maintain & ensure NDA, Non-Disclosure agreement and follow the Valmet Purchase Guidelines & Compliance Policies.
- Generate Reports & gather details of the needed materials to purchase from ERP system.
- Review the Technical specification, Valve Automation & accessories before releasing Purchase Orders.
- Release On-Time Purchase Orders to suppliers. Taking Order Acknowledgement & delivery Follow-ups to meet the Production demand and Customer Order Fulfilments.
- Manage Direct Purchases: Customer Order Specific demands & Supplies to meet Production schedule.
- Manage Indirect Purchases: Facility & Maintenance related procurements along with the Safety & Facility Maintenance Supervisor.
- Coordinates with the Planning/Order Management/ Warehousing & Logistics for on-time actions.
- Conduct purchasing in support of inventory management goals and activities.
- New supplier development & setup for the localized parts / Consumables & services to hit higher IKTVA score.
- Support Sales & Global Project Teams in the quotation stage.
- Use the Quotation Software, fixing the Lead-Time & Price and complete the final offers for the submission to Sales / Customer.
- Manage calls with Global Valmet Sites & follow up on the ready material to be purchased.
- Maintain clean procurement records and archiving system.
- Visit Sales offices, Suppliers, and Customers when required.
- Drive cost saving plans by selecting the right suppliers and shipping mode when applicable.
- Update & pre-alert warehouse team for any upcoming materials.
- Raise any obstacles/related issues in management weekly meetings.
- Any other duties as assigned.

What you will need to be successful in the role:
You shall be an experienced professional - if you like to be the focal contact of Saudi Plant Purchases managing different types of valves & actuators business, please apply

To be successful in this role, you will need in addition:

- Relevant educational background such as “Engineering Degree” in Supply Chain or Mechanical Engineering.
- APICS CPIM Certification is a plus.
- Experience in Aramco Specifications is a plus.
- Experience in Valve industry is a must.
- Ability to work under pressure in different operations situations and in different cultural environments.
- Passion for delivering best results and collaborating with your colleagues.
- Fluent in English. Other languages are plus.
