About the Position:

This Senior Regional Advisor position is responsible for supporting the assessment of economic development of assigned Countries/Region and conducting strategy analysis related to IsDBG Member Country Partnership Strategy (MCPS) and Country Engagement Framework (CEF). The successful candidate will work closely with Country Economists in the Regional Hubs to develop engagement and strategy perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the assessment of economic development of assigned Countries/Region
  • Conduct strategy analysis related to MCPS and CEF, operational strategies and programs
  • Participate in policy dialogue with Governments, multilateral institutions, and NGOs
  • Develop and implement engagement and strategy perspectives from Country Economists in the Regional Hubs

Educational Background and Work Experience:

Bachelors /preferably Masters degree in Economics, International Development or related field

Minimum 8/6 years of experience as an Economist in the development sector, of which 3 years in a multilateral development bank, development of country strategies, or relevant experience at the Ministry of Finance/ Economic Planning/ Central Bank, etc.
