We're looking for a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at Calo Inc. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredients, packaging, equipment, and services are delivered on time.

The ideal candidate will have great analytical skills, leadership abilities, and technical knowledge of food equipment and ingredients. They should be able to identify profitable offers, evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and prepare reports. A strong understanding of supply management principles and practices is also essential.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for capital equipment, services, food ingredients, and packaging sourcing and procurement activities within assigned categories/locations.
  • Collaborates with the project team to establish requirements and execute the full sourcing process to meet the project's defined technical scope.
  • Develops, leads, and executes food and non-food sourcing strategies.
  • Works closely with the Operations team, Automation team, and Maintenance teams to enable fast execution of assets/equipment procurement decisions.
  • Tracks and reports key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Communicates with stakeholders (Supply chain, engineering, Finance, and kitchen team) to ensure clear requirements and service documentation.
  • Forecasts price and market trends to identify changes in buyer-supplier power.
  • Performs cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Sought reliable vendors and suppliers for Kitchen equipment and services.
  • Monitors and forecasts upcoming levels of demand while determining the quantity and timing of deliveries.

Ideal Candidate

  • Must have had a minimum of 3 years of previous proven experience as an equipment purchasing officer or similar position.
  • Knowledge of the Saudi inbound logistics cycle.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
  • Interest in market dynamics along with a business sense.
  • A knack for negotiation and networking.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data.
  • Solid judgment along with decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
