Job Overview

Awazel - is seeking a seasoned Chemical Production Director to lead the production team and oversee the manufacturing process of its construction chemicals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in chemical production, process optimization, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Team Management:
  2. Lead, mentor, and manage the production team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  3. Provide training and development opportunities to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  4. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback to improve individual and team performance.

Process Optimization & Efficiency:

  1. Analyze and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
  2. Implement best practices in manufacturing to enhance product quality and streamline production workflows.
  3. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality, and efficiency, and take corrective actions as necessary.

Quality Control & Assurance:

  1. Ensure that all products are produced according to quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to develop and maintain robust quality control procedures.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.

Inventory & Resource Management:

  1. Oversee the management of raw materials, chemicals, and other production inputs to ensure timely availability and cost efficiency.
  2. Collaborate with the purchasing and supply chain teams to maintain adequate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock.

Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:

  1. Address and resolve any production-related issues that may arise, including equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality concerns.
  2. Lead root cause analysis for production problems and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Reporting & Documentation:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, reports, and documentation.
  2. Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and achievements.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  2. 10+ years of experience in production management, preferably within the chemical manufacturing or construction chemicals industry.
  3. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and resource management.
  4. Familiarity with quality control standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance in chemical production.
  5. Proven experience in process optimization, cost control, and efficiency improvements.
  6. Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  7. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
