About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Underwriting Manager to join our team at the Islamic Development Bank. As an Insurance Underwriting Manager, you will be responsible for guiding the effective and accurate assessment, administration, and fair settlement of valid claims submitted by customers in line with established claims and recovery guidelines.

This role requires a strong understanding of insurance underwriting principles, claims management, and risk assessment. You will work closely with our Underwriting team to ensure that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively.

  • You will participate in the development and implementation of the Legal Affairs Department plans with respect to Claims and Recoveries, in line with the corporate objectives.
  • Manages the implementation of Legal Affairs mandates, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Economics, Finance, Law, or Business Administration (Legal background preferred)
  • 10 years of experience in managing claims and recovery operations or risk underwriting, preferably in Export Credit Insurance/Banking Industry
  • Professional certifications in insurance, risk management, or related fields are an added advantage
