Job Summary

The Senior Tax Planning Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring corporate income taxes for affiliates are accurately reported and comply with both internal and regulatory deadlines. This position requires the ability to analyze and interpret information, liaise with local CPA firms, and maintain current knowledge of tax law and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and interpreting information necessary to accurately report the company's tax position
  • Liaising with local CPA firms to prepare timely and accurate tax filings for all entities
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relationships between company accounting records and tax reporting requirements
  • Providing support for financial audits of entities
  • Working on tax audits and notices
  • Reconciling tax-related general ledger accounts

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of tax experience including working knowledge of tax law and codes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem-solving
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to develop ad-hoc and standard reporting
  • Professional command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate
  • CPA / SOCPA (active or in progress)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in taxation
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in international income tax laws
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP software
  • Knowledge of common tax research software tools
