About the Role

Profile Middle East LLC is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As a Sustainability Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing sustainability strategies that ensure the use of environmentally preferable materials and practices throughout our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategies: Collaborate with our team to develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate LEED and Mostadam Certification Process: Coordinate the LEED and Mostadam certification process, including preparation of documentation, submission, and tracking of credits.
  • Optimize Building Performance: Develop and implement strategies to optimize building performance and achieve targeted sustainability goals.
  • Conduct Material Reviews: Conduct material reviews to assess the sustainability and environmental impact of construction materials, including sourcing, manufacturing processes, and end-of-life disposal.
  • Develop Sustainable Material Selection Strategies: Develop strategies for sustainable material selection, prioritizing options with low embodied carbon, recycled content, and renewable resources.
  • Collaborate with Suppliers and Contractors: Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to procure environmentally preferable materials and products that meet project specifications and sustainability goals.
  • Implement Construction Waste Management Plans: Implement construction waste management plans to minimize waste generation, maximize recycling and reuse opportunities, and divert waste from landfills.
  • Monitor and Track Waste Streams: Monitor and track waste streams throughout the construction process, identifying opportunities for waste reduction and improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, architecture, engineering, or a related field (master's degree preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainability consulting, green building, or related field.
  • LEED and Mostadam Accreditation: LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and Mostadam AP (preferable).
  • Strong Knowledge of Sustainability Assessment Tools: Proficiency in sustainability assessment tools and software (e.g., LEED Online).
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
