About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Temperature Control Technician to join our team at Asterix Communications. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering planned maintenance programs to ensure reliable and safe asset operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Install, commission, and maintain Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and other industrial equipment.
  • Lead a team to install and commission projects.
  • Lead daily meetings on-site to assign work to the team and provide daily updates to clients.
  • Manage overall work progress at a project install site.
  • Provide first-level technical advice to customers and assist the sales team with enquiries.
  • Coordinate and undertake a range of maintenance activities within defined operating procedures.
  • Conduct safety inspections and comply with Aggreko's safety regulations.
  • Provide first-level technical advice to customers and resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems.
  • Perform major equipment servicing/overhauls to defined service intervals and in line with standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Carry out intermediate troubleshooting and fault diagnostics on Temperature Control Equipment.
  • Install and commission Temperature Control Equipment, including chillers, water coolers, air-cooled chillers, and other industrial equipment.
Requirements
  • 5-6 years of experience in Refrigeration/HVAC.
  • Soft skills to communicate with clients.
  • Good computer skills to prepare reports for daily work.
  • Experience in troubleshooting chillers like JCI, York, Midia, and others.
  • Experience working with chillers, water coolers, air-cooled chillers, and other industrial equipment.
  • Perform major equipment servicing/overhauls to defined service intervals and in line with standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Carry out intermediate troubleshooting and fault diagnostics on Temperature Control Equipment.
  • Install and commission Temperature Control Equipment, including chillers, water coolers, air-cooled chillers, and other industrial equipment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team player.
  • Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in OFA units and Boilers preferred.
